One of the biggest mistakes people make is cutting down on their carbohydrates. You don't need to cut down. Carbs are a source of energy.  You just need to remember to burn them off throughout your day.  If you don't eat enough carbs, you won't have a lot of energy to get through your day.  After find you carbohydrate intake plus/minus 10 to find a zone to shoot for.
